The Apartment Almudena is located in a neighborhood full of parks and greenery, yet it has a central location near all of Madrid's sights. The apartment is on Calle Segovia, a historical street that leads from Plaza Mayor to the Manzanares River. Walking up Calle Segovia you will enter into Habsburg's Madrid (Madrid de los Austrias), with its winding streets, churches, and beautiful plazas. From the apartment you can walk to Plaza Mayor on foot in 15 minutes, and to Puerta del Sol in 20 minutes.

From the apartment you can also walk to the Royal Palace, the Almudena Cathedral, and Calle Mayor in 10 minutes. This is a very nice walk that will take you through several parks and alongside the remnants of Madrid's Moorish wall.

The apartment is next to the La Latina neighborhood. La Latina is famous for its many restaurants, tapas bars, and terrazas. This is a very lively area of Madrid, and the dining and nightlife options are among the city's best. In the night you will discover how popular this area is among madrileños, who love to have wine and tapas in its crowded mesones.

The apartment is surrounded by several parks. Right across the street you will find the Park of Athens. You can also take a relaxing stroll in the gardens of the Royal Palace (Campo del Moro), from where you get the most beautiful views of the palace. Next to the apartment is the Vistillas Park, with spectacular views of the city and from where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets while having a drink al fresco in a terraza. If you walk towards the Manzanares River (just a 2 minute walk) you will be positioned to enjoy the most beautiful panoramic view of Madrid.

Across from the apartment there are many bus lines (31, 50, 65, C) that will take you anywhere in Madrid. The apartment is also located near Príncipe Pío bus terminal, from where you can take a bus to Segovia.
